TetherPro Optima 10G USB-C Cable 31'

This 31' USB-C cable connects a camera to a computer for tethered shooting in studio or on location. It uses USB 3.2 Gen 2 to move large image and video files at 10 Gbps. The length gives photographers and videographers extra reach without repositioning their workstation. Power delivery is omitted to keep the data path stable.

Right-angle connector and data-only design

The right-angle USB-C plug sits flush against the camera port, reducing strain and accidental disconnects during active shoots. The straight plug on the computer end fits standard ports cleanly. Removing power delivery circuitry eliminates negotiation overhead and potential interference, so bandwidth stays dedicated to file transfer. This design helps maintain a consistent link when the camera is moved or rotated.

Build quality for repeated studio use

The cable jacket resists wear from frequent coiling and floor routing in professional environments. Connectors lock securely into USB-C ports on compatible Canon R Series and Fujifilm GFX bodies. The 9.4 m length supports overhead or cross-room runs without daisy-chaining shorter cables. Photographers who need power over the same cable or shorter runs for tight bags will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

Does the 31-foot USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 cable require any periodic connector cleaning or replacement?

The straight and right-angle USB-C connectors are built for repeated mating cycles; no scheduled cleaning or replacement is required under normal studio use.

What limits continuous 10 Gb/s transfer over the 9.4-metre run?

Signal integrity at 10 Gbps is the first limit; the cable is engineered to maintain full USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 speeds across the full 31-foot length without repeaters.

How much heat or power draw appears when the cable runs all day at 10 Gb/s?

Power delivery is omitted from this Optima 10G line, so the cable carries only data current and generates negligible heat during sustained transfers.
