Right-Angle USB-C Cable for Tethered Photography

The TetherPro USB-C to USB-C Right Angle Cable connects a USB-C camera directly to a USB-C computer port. Its right-angle plug routes down the side of the camera body, keeping the connection clear of the photographer’s hands during tethered shooting sessions. No adapters or dongles are required for this direct male-to-male link.

5 Gbps Data Transfer Limit

This cable operates at a 5 Gbps signalling rate, which is the practical ceiling for the USB interface it uses. That bandwidth handles raw image transfer and camera control commands, but it will not support higher-speed video or storage protocols that demand faster throughput. The gold-plated contacts help maintain reliable conductivity at this speed.

15-Foot Length Defines Studio Reach

The 15-foot cable run sets the maximum working distance between camera and computer. Studios needing longer tether distances will find this length restrictive, while tabletop or close-range setups may have excess cable to manage. The fixed length is the single specification that determines whether the cable fits the physical layout of a shoot.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 15 ft length for studio tethering or a shorter cable for travel?

The 15 ft length gives plenty of reach for studio setups where the camera sits on a tripod and the computer stays on a cart; choose a shorter cable only if you need to pack lighter for location work.

What does the 5 Gbps rating deliver when I am shooting tethered?

At 5 Gbps the cable moves raw files from a USB-C camera to a USB-C computer fast enough for live view and immediate review without noticeable lag during a session.

How does the USB-C right-angle plug affect the connection on my camera?

The right-angle USB-C connector hugs the side of the camera port, keeping the cable out of your hand and reducing strain on the port while you shoot.
