What It Is

The Better Bungee Orange Polyurethane Bungee Strap 36 is a lightweight, heavy-duty tie-down designed for campers, motorcyclists, boaters and anyone securing gear where rope fails. It replaces traditional cord with a high-tech polyurethane construction that stores compactly and resists degradation. New condition ensures full elasticity and surface integrity from first use.

What the Material Changes

Polyurethane construction eliminates the rot, brittleness and breakage common in rubber or fabric straps when exposed to UV, water, diesel fuel, oil and gasoline. The material safely stretches up to twice its original length without permanent deformation, maintaining tension through vibration and temperature swings. Orange colour adds visibility in low-light loading situations.

Deciding Specification

The strap measures 36 inches in its relaxed state and stretches safely to double that length. Buyers needing a shorter reach or a fixed-length ratchet mechanism should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the polyurethane material need any conditioning or replacement over time?

The polyurethane construction resists rot, brittleness, and degradation from UV, water, fuel, and oil, so no periodic conditioning or scheduled replacement is required.

What stops the strap from stretching further when a load is applied continuously?

The strap is designed to safely stretch up to twice its original 36-inch length, and that maximum elongation acts as the built-in limit under sustained tension.

Will the strap become stiff or degrade if left in a hot vehicle or direct sunlight all day?

The material withstands extreme temperature variations and UV exposure without becoming brittle or losing elasticity, so all-day heat and sun do not affect performance.
