Artisan wall clock with moving gears

The Gears Clock Italy Line is a 36-inch round wall clock driven by real moving gears behind a multi-colour wood face. Roman numerals mark the hours on a 24-inch diameter dial. The piece mounts flush via a pre-installed hook on the rear and runs on three AA batteries.

Hypnotic motion as functional decor

The visible gear train turns continuously, creating a slow kinetic display that the maker describes as a calming, hypnotic focal point. No chime or alarm function is present, so the movement remains purely visual. The industrial-steampunk finish suits entryways, living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, offices and bathrooms alike.

Scale and placement limits

At 36 inches (90 cm) tall the clock dominates a standard wall and reads easily across a large room. The mechanism stops when batteries are exhausted, and the wooden construction is not rated for damp outdoor exposure. Buyers who need silent sweep hands, app connectivity or weather resistance should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How often will the three AA batteries powering the moving gears need replacement?

Battery life depends on the brand and type of AA cells used; typical alkaline batteries last several months before the gear motion slows or the timekeeping drifts.

What is the first limit reached when the clock runs continuously for weeks?

The mechanical gear train is designed for continuous operation; the practical limit is battery depletion, which stops the gear movement and quartz timekeeping.

How much noise and heat does the 36-inch gear mechanism produce all day?

The moving gears create a soft, audible whir that is noticeable in a quiet room; the motor and gear assembly generate negligible heat during normal operation.
