Car wiring tape for audio installers

The Install Bay Tesa 951618 tape is a black PET fleece cloth tape designed for interior wire harness covering. It combines noise damping and abrasion resistance while keeping bundles flexible. Supplied as a five-pack for car audio wiring, engine bay dressing and home electrical projects.

9.84 MIL thickness with rubber adhesive

Each roll measures 3/8 inch wide by 82 feet long (25 metres) and has a 9.84 MIL thickness. The rubber-based adhesive delivers strong adhesion and stable unwind force of 4.6 N/roll at 30 m/min. It is hand-tearable for quick manual application.

Five rolls enable multiple vehicle jobs

The five-roll bundle provides enough length for several complete harnesses or for damping noise where interior panels meet. Installers can finish an entire car audio loom without opening a new pack, reducing downtime on the bench.

Questions about this item

How much tape do I get from one roll when wiring a car interior?

Each roll supplies 82 feet (25 metres) of 3/8-inch wide PET fleece cloth tape, giving enough length for multiple harness bundles in a passenger compartment.

What does the 9.84 MIL thickness mean for abrasion protection?

At 9.84 MIL the single-layer fleece adds a tough, flexible skin that resists rubbing against panels and other harnesses while staying pliable in extreme temperatures.

Will the 3/8-inch width fit tight gaps between door panels and the dash?

The narrow 3/8-inch (9 mm) width lets the tape slide into confined spaces and wrap small-diameter looms without adding bulk that could prevent panels from seating.
