What This Adapter Does

The Ordinary BY-HUB01 adds Bluetooth capability to Windows PCs and laptops that lack built-in wireless support. It connects headsets, keyboards, mice, printers, speakers and PS4 or Xbox controllers through a USB port. The nano-sized dongle stays inserted during travel or daily use.

Who It Suits and Who It Does Not

Windows 10, 8.1 and 8 users get plug-and-play operation; Windows 7 and XP require a free driver download. It does not work with Mac, Linux or TV systems, so buyers on those platforms should look elsewhere. The 65 ft range covers typical room-scale setups.

The Deciding Specification

Transmission reaches up to 65 ft with EDR and A2DP support for 3 Mbps data rates and high-quality audio streaming. This range and speed profile determines whether the adapter meets the user's wireless distance and audio needs.
