Self-Inflating Foam Camping Pad

The Therm-a-Rest BaseCamp Large is a self-inflating foam sleeping pad sized 25 by 77 inches for one adult. It uses thermal foam made of polyester and polyethylene to provide insulation with a 6 R-value for year-round use. The pad includes a WingLock valve for quicker inflation and deflation, and a stuff sack with a PFAS-free DWR coating.

WingLock Valve Setup

The WingLock valve inflates the pad three times faster than a classic valve and allows lightning-fast deflation. For best performance on the first use, inflate the pad fully by breath or with the included pump sack and leave it inflated for two to four hours. The stuff sack packs down to 26 by 7.5 inches for transport.

1440-Pound Capacity and Year-Round Warmth

The rectangular pad supports a maximum weight capacity of 1440 pounds and measures two inches thick when inflated. The 6 R-value insulation handles cold ground in all seasons, while the adjustable firmness lets you tune comfort by adding or releasing air. At 3.4 pounds, it is built for frontcountry camping where packed size is less critical.
