Portable toilet for outdoor use

The Thetford 92860 135 Porta Potti is a 2.6-gallon portable toilet designed for camping, hiking or cabin stays. Its refreshed modern appearance and more-ergonomic carrying handle make it easy to transport. The removable seat and cover simplify cleaning and setup. A piston pump flush and sealed valves keep odours contained in the holding tank.

Odour control and waste disposal

The piston pump flush works with sealed valves to lock smells inside the waste tank. An easy-to-read level indicator shows when the reservoir needs emptying. The exclusive rotating pour-out spout lets you dispose of waste without splash-back. A deodorant sample is included to help keep the unit fresh during use.

2.6-gallon capacity decides suitability

The 2.6-gallon waste tank determines how long the toilet can serve before emptying. At 7.3 pounds and measuring 13.5 by 12.1 by 15.1 inches, it fits in most vehicle loads. Buyers who need longer intervals between emptying will find the capacity limiting.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the waste-holding tank to the upper bowl and what step is often missed?

Align the two halves, press the standard lid latch until it clicks, and verify the piston pump flush lever moves freely — the latch must fully engage or odours escape.

Which parts will need replacement after repeated use?

The piston pump seal and the rotating pour-out spout gasket wear first; keep spares so the flush stays pressurised and the spout remains splash-free.

What is the first limit reached during a long weekend of continuous use?

The 2.6-gallon waste capacity fills before the fresh-water side runs low, so plan to empty the holding tank at least once per weekend.
