One-hole compression lug accepts 3/0 AWG stranded copper wire with a 1/4 in stud and orange colour code
This copper compression lug accepts stranded copper wire up to 3/0 AWG and terminates on a 1/4 in stud. The straight-barrel design features an inspection hole and a tongue width of .7 in. It is rated for 35 kV maximum voltage and carries CSA certification plus UL E9809 listing.
Upgrade when existing connectors show corrosion, heat damage or loose crimps on 3/0 AWG conductors. The jump is worth it if the current lug lacks an inspection window or is not rated to 35 kV. The orange color code and die code 50 match standard tooling for consistent crimps.
The .63 in barrel outside diameter provides ample contact area for sustained current without hot spots. Inspection hole lets crews verify full conductor insertion before energising. Straight tongue keeps alignment true during vibration, maintaining low resistance over long service life.
Measured against everything we stock in Wire Connectors & Cable Ties, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.

The lug has a 0.63 in barrel outside diameter, a straight tongue 0.7 in wide, and a single 1/4 in stud hole; measure your bus-bar slot and bolt pattern against those dimensions.
Use a die coded 50 for 3/0 AWG stranded copper; after crimping, verify the conductor is fully seated through the inspection hole before torquing the 1/4 in stud bolt.
Inspect the tin-plated copper lug for discoloration, corrosion or loose hardware at each scheduled outage; replace it if the barrel shows pitting, cracking or the inspection hole reveals conductor creep.
