Two-hole lug for 10 AWG copper
This Thomas & Betts compression lug is made from electro-tin plated high-conductivity wrought copper. It accepts stranded copper wire from 14 AWG up to 10 AWG and is rated for a maximum voltage of 35 kV. The straight barrel features an inspection hole and a yellow colour code for quick identification. It is CSA certified and carries UL listing E9809.
Crimp termination with inspection hole
The lug uses a crimp termination style and requires a die coded ERG2002 for proper installation. Its straight tongue measures 0.5 in wide with two mounting holes spaced 0.625 in centre-to-centre for a 1/4 in stud size. The barrel outside diameter is 0.296 in. No thermal, noise or power-draw data applies to this passive connector.
10 AWG maximum conductor size
The single specification that decides fit is the maximum stranded copper wire size of 10 AWG. Buyers needing to terminate larger conductors must select a different lug. This part is not for aluminium wire or for applications exceeding the 35 kV rating.

Questions about this item
How do I crimp this 10 AWG lug and which die code matches the ERG2002 tool?
Use a compression tool with die code ERG2002; insert the stripped copper wire fully into the barrel until it shows through the inspection hole, then crimp once to secure the electro-tin plated connection.
Will the electro-tin plating need reapplication or the lug replaced over time?
The electro-tin plated copper resists corrosion under normal conditions; replacement is only necessary if the lug shows physical damage, overheating discoloration, or the crimp loosens after repeated thermal cycling.
What is the maximum continuous voltage before insulation breakdown on this 35 kV rated lug?
The lug is rated for 35 kV maximum; sustained operation at or near this voltage requires proper insulation spacing and torque on the 1/4 inch stud holes to prevent tracking or flashover.
