A 45-degree thermoplastic conduit fitting connects 2-inch flexible liquid-tight non-metallic conduit at an angle
This Thomas & Betts conduit fitting connects flexible liquid-tight non-metallic Type B conduit at a 45-degree angle. It suits electrical installations that require a secure, insulated transition into a 2-inch knockout. The thermoplastic body resists corrosion and provides electrical insulation. Hazardous-location ratings cover Class I Division 2 and Class II Divisions 1 and 2.
The insulated thermoplastic construction prevents current leakage and withstands exposure to moisture, oils and common industrial chemicals. No strain-relief mesh is fitted, so the conduit seats directly into the fitting. The liquid-tight seal maintains enclosure integrity without adding measurable resistance to the circuit. Power draw and noise are not applicable to this passive component.
The fitting retains its seal and mechanical grip during continuous vibration, thermal cycling and prolonged exposure to rated hazardous atmospheres. Thermoplastic material does not degrade under normal operating temperatures encountered in Class I and Class II environments. Long-term reliability depends on correct torque at the 2-inch MNPT box connection and undamaged conduit ends.

Thread the 2" MNPT box connection into a 2" knockout, then insert the flexible liquid-tight non-metallic Type B conduit and tighten the compression nut; the step often missed is fully seating the conduit before final tightening to ensure a liquid-tight seal.
Inspect the thermoplastic body and compression nut periodically for cracking or UV degradation; replace the fitting if the conduit seal shows leakage or the threads are damaged, as no user-serviceable parts exist inside.
The thermoplastic housing and seal are rated for Class I Division 2 and Class II Division 1 and 2 hazardous locations; prolonged exposure beyond these ratings or excessive mechanical stress will cause seal failure before the metal threads wear.
