Solar Motion Sensor Light Kit

The Thomasville Lighting 20260304-solar kit provides 92 LEDs delivering up to 1200 lumens of solar-powered illumination. It is designed for homeowners and campers who need portable, off-grid lighting without wiring or electrical outlets. The IP65 rating ensures reliable operation in rain, snow and extreme temperatures year-round.

Flexible Octopus Stand and Clip-On Mounting

A bendable octopus tripod wraps around railings, fences, poles or trees for tool-free setup, while the clip-on design and included wall-mount hardware offer additional placement options. The 360-degree rotatable head directs light exactly where needed across doorways, pathways and gardens. Weighing 0.322 kilograms, the unit measures 6.3 by 3.54 by 0.98 inches for easy repositioning.

Three Modes and Weatherproof Efficiency

Choose strong light with motion detection for 15 seconds then dim, strong light with motion only, or continuous dim light all night via push-button control. The 3.7-volt, 7-watt solar system charges by day and runs automatically at night, eliminating wiring costs. The 24-month warranty covers defects, though buyers who need permanent high-output floodlighting or grid-tied security integration should consider hardwired alternatives.

Questions about this item

What does the IP65 rating on this solar light kit actually protect against?

The IP65 rating means the unit is dust-tight and guarded against low-pressure water jets from any direction, so rain, snow and splashing will not penetrate the housing during year-round outdoor use.

How much space does the octopus stand need to wrap securely around a railing or pole?

The flexible legs bend through 360 degrees and the light body measures 6.3 by 3.54 by 0.98 inches, allowing the stand to grip rails, fence posts or tree branches of various diameters without tools.

Which lighting mode should I choose if I want the lamp to stay on dimly all night without using the motion sensor?

Select Mode 3 via the push-button control; it keeps the 92 LEDs at a low dim level throughout the night and disables the motion-triggered 15-second bright burst entirely.
