Solar Floating Light Kit

This 5-pack solar floating light kit from Thomasville Lighting supplies cordless illumination for pools, ponds, patios and garden gatherings. Each acrylic unit weighs 0.458 kilograms and measures 14.8 by 4.06 by 2.28 inches, floating freely wherever placed. The LED source draws 0.5 watts and is operated by a push-button on the bottom. The clear prismatic finish mimics a candle glow without an open flame.

Replaces Wired Pool Lighting

The kit removes the need for cable runs, transformers or outdoor outlets by charging from sunlight. Six hours of daytime exposure yields six hours of automatic night-time light, so the swap makes sense when running power to the water feature is impractical or costly. Buyers who need all-night runtime or brightness levels beyond a tea-light equivalent will not be served by this system.

Sustained Outdoor Operation

IP66-rated construction lets the lights remain in place through rain, snow and frost without seasonal removal. The solar panel and battery cycle daily without user intervention, maintaining the auto on-at-dusk behaviour across temperature swings. Acrylic housings resist UV yellowing, so light output stays consistent over extended deployments rather than fading after a few weeks.

Questions about this item

What surface area does each 3.8-inch diameter light need to float freely?

Each light measures 3.8 inches across and 2 inches tall, so allow a few inches of open water around it; keep away from drains, skimmers or filters to prevent suction.

How do I activate the automatic day-night cycle on the push-button base?

Press the single button on the bottom once; the LED enters auto mode, charging by day and lighting automatically at night.

When should I replace the sealed rechargeable cell inside the IP66-rated housing?

The integrated battery is not user-replaceable; after several seasons of daily 6-hour charge cycles, reduced night runtime signals the whole unit needs replacement.
