Smart Recessed Light Kit

The Thomasville Lighting TD3C002 is a 5/6 inch smart LED downlight that delivers 1500 lumens at 16 watts. It installs flush to the ceiling using the included junction box and spring clips for a low-profile finish. The fixture is rated for indoor use only and weighs 0.37 kilograms.

RGB+CCT Control for Indoor Spaces

This kit suits homeowners who want app or voice control over colour temperature from 2700K to 6000K and 16 million RGB shades. It fits living rooms, bedrooms, home theatres, hallways and bathrooms. Buyers who need water-resistant fixtures or traditional wall-dimmer compatibility should look elsewhere.

Check Ceiling Cut-Out and Power

Verify your ceiling can accommodate the 6.7 inch diameter cut-out required for the 5/6 inch housing. Confirm a 120 volt AC supply is available at the install location. Ensure you do not plan to use a conventional wall dimmer, as the unit is not compatible with that control method.

Questions about this item

Does the 16 W LED module need a separate driver or transformer?

The kit includes a junction box and runs directly on 120 V AC, so no external driver or transformer is required.

Can I keep my existing wall dimmer switch and use it with this light?

The manufacturer states the light is not compatible with traditional wall dimmer switches; dimming is handled through the BRmesh app or voice assistants.

How can I verify the 1500 lumen output and 2700 K–6000 K range are working after installation?

Use the BRmesh app to set 100 % brightness at 6000 K for maximum cool-white output, then slide to 2700 K for warm white, and cycle through RGB colours to confirm full range.
