Smart RGBCW Recessed Light Kit

This 6-inch LED downlight delivers 1350 lumens at 16 watts and offers 16 million RGB colours plus adjustable white from 2700K to 6000K. It installs as a flush-mount canless fixture with an integrated junction box for indoor ceilings. The light is controlled via the BRmesh app over Bluetooth 5.0 Mesh and responds to Alexa voice commands. No hub, gateway or remote control is required for operation.

Bluetooth 5.0 Mesh Control Limits

The fixture connects directly to a smartphone using Bluetooth 5.0 Mesh, so no internet connection or wireless router is needed for local control. Group control and scheduling are handled inside the app once devices are paired. Voice control with Alexa requires a compatible Echo device and an active internet link for the cloud service. The mesh network extends range by relaying commands between installed lights.

Pre-Installation Checks

Verify the ceiling opening matches the 6.5-inch square footprint and 2-inch housing depth before cutting. Confirm the supply circuit is standard AC voltage suitable for a 16-watt LED load. Ensure your phone runs a compatible OS for the BRmesh app and has Bluetooth enabled. The fitting is rated for indoor use only, including bathrooms, but is not suitable for outdoor or wet locations.

Questions about this item

How do I choose between the 6-inch RGB+5CCT and the 4-inch versions shown in the range?

The 6-inch model delivers 1350 lumens at 16 watts, while the 4-inch variants share the same RGB+CCT range and Bluetooth 5.0 Mesh control but differ in cut-out size and output.

What does the 1350-lumen rating mean for a typical room installation?

At 16 watts the downlight produces 1350 lumens, bright enough for general lighting in a medium-sized room; dimming from 1 % to 100 % lets you lower output for accent or mood scenes.

How does Bluetooth 5.0 Mesh affect control range and hub requirements?

Bluetooth 5.0 Mesh creates a self-healing network between each downlight, so signals hop from fixture to fixture without a separate hub or internet connection; control works anywhere the mesh reaches.
