Smart recessed LED kit

The Thomasville Lighting VARICART kit is a 6-inch smart recessed downlight that delivers 1300 lumens from a 13W LED. It connects via Bluetooth to the BRmesh app and works with Alexa voice commands for full colour and brightness control.

Suited for smart-home lighting

This fixture suits content creators who need flicker-free output with CRI above 90 for video work, and smart-home owners wanting 16 million RGB colours plus 2700K to 6000K tunable white. It is not for installations that rely on traditional wall dimmer switches, which are explicitly incompatible.

13W 1300lm RGBCW Bluetooth module

The single deciding specification is the 13W LED package producing 1300 lumens with RGBCW colour mixing, Bluetooth mesh connectivity and Alexa integration in a 6-inch retrofit housing.

Questions about this item

Does the kit include the LED module and trim, or do I need a separate housing?

The kit ships with the LED bulb and an instruction manual; the recessed housing is not included and must be purchased separately if your ceiling does not already have a compatible 5/6-inch can.

Should I choose the 2700K–6000K tunable white range or the 16 million RGB colours for a home theatre?

Both are available on the same unit — use the tunable white range for accurate bias lighting at CRI>90, and switch to RGB colours for accent effects during movies or gaming.

Will the 1300-lumen output at 13 watts be bright enough for a 12-square-metre living room?

At 1300 lumens the single downlight provides roughly the same light as a traditional 100-watt incandescent, suitable for task or accent zones; add multiple units for general room illumination.
