Three-pack wireless picture lights

This Thomasville Lighting xu14 kit includes three battery-operated LED puck lights with magnetic mounting brackets and two remote controls. The lights are designed for indoor wall display of artwork, photographs or dartboards up to 10 by 10 inches. Each unit weighs 0.408 kilograms and runs on three AA batteries (not included). The finish is white with clear prismatic acrylic lenses.

Check power and mounting before ordering

The lights require three AA cells per puck, which are not supplied in the box. Installation uses the included screws to fix each bracket to the wall, then the puck attaches magnetically. Verify that the mounting surface can accept screws and that you have AA batteries available. The system operates at 4.5 volts direct current and draws 2 watts per puck.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

LED emitters produce minimal heat during operation, so the pucks remain cool to the touch after extended runs. There are no moving parts, making the lights completely silent. Battery life reaches 80 hours at typical brightness settings. A built-in timer can shut the lights off automatically after 15, 30, 60 or 120 minutes to conserve power.

Questions about this item

Does the 3-pack kit include the 3AA batteries each light needs for its 80-hour run time?

No — the lights run on 3AA batteries per unit and batteries are not included; you will need nine AA cells in total for the three lights to reach the stated 80-hour run time.

Which colour temperature should I choose for artwork — 3000K, 4000K or 6000K?

Warm white 3000K suits traditional paintings, neutral 4000K gives balanced rendering for mixed media, and cool white 6000K matches modern prints; the remote lets you switch between all three on each puck.

What does the 80-hour figure mean once the lights are on my wall?

At full 2-watt output each puck runs about 80 hours on a fresh set of 3AA cells; dimming to 10% or using the 15-to-120-minute timer extends that run time considerably.
