It connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.2 and includes a mounting bracket for fixed installation. The unit suits users wanting a space-saving audio solution for smartphones, tablets, computers or televisions. It is not intended for buyers who need a portable carry-around speaker or a multi-channel surround system.

Thermal noise and power profile

The speaker runs on a built-in 7.4 V 6000 mAh 18650 lithium battery providing up to 10 hours of playback. Charging is handled through a USB Type-C port. Maximum audio output is rated at 180 W with a 4 x 10 W driver configuration. No active cooling or fan noise is present. The product is not suited for users who require continuous mains-powered operation without recharge intervals.

A wall-mount bracket is included in the box for direct surface attachment. Touch controls on the cabinet handle playback and pairing functions. True Wireless Stereo support allows two units to be paired for a wider stereo image. There is no companion application or firmware update tool supplied. Questions about this item

How do I mount the Thomson QY-BG002 on the wall, and which step do people often miss?

Use the supplied bracket on a solid surface; the step often missed is verifying the wall can hold the 5.95 lb unit before drilling.

What maintenance or replacement will the built-in 6000mAh 18650 battery need later?

The lithium cell is sealed inside; after many charge cycles its 10-hour playback will shorten, requiring professional battery service.

What limit appears first during sustained high-volume playback?

The 180W peak output can trigger thermal protection, causing the speaker to reduce volume until the drivers cool.
