Full-size mechanical layout

The Thunderobot KG5 104 uses a full-size 104-key layout with Cherry MX Red linear switches. It connects by USB wired cable and has a silver coloured metal-ABS frame. The board is aimed at gamers and fast typists who want a standard key arrangement and a durable switch rating of 50 million clicks.

USB port and OS support

Check that your system has a free USB Type-A port for the wired connection. The supplier lists compatibility with Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, XP and Mac OS, so verify your operating system is among those. No separate mouse is included, and there is no palm rest, so plan desk space for the keyboard alone.

Metal-ABS construction and fixed cable

The chassis combines metal and ABS plastic with plate-mounted switches for rigidity during long sessions. Multimedia shortcut keys are integrated for quick media control. The fixed USB cable means the board cannot be detached for transport, and the 444 by 151.1 by 44.6 mm footprint stays constant on the desk.
