The Thunderobot Radiant 16S is a 16.0 inch gaming laptop built around an AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU. It ships with 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB PCIe SSD. The 2560 x 1600 display runs at 300 Hz and Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

Who benefits from the 300Hz panel

Competitive players who value motion clarity at 300 Hz will appreciate the high refresh rate and 2.5K resolution. Content creators needing accurate colour on a 16 inch WQXGA screen also fit this profile. Buyers seeking a lighter chassis, longer battery life or a lower price point should consider other models.

GPU model decides suitability

The system lists an RTX 5080 Laptop GPU in the detailed specifications while the model name references a 5060. Confirm which graphics processor is actually fitted before purchase because that single component determines gaming performance and feature support.

Questions about this item

Do I need an external monitor to use the 300 Hz 2560 x 1600 display?

No, the built-in 16.0 inch panel already runs at 300 Hz and 2560 x 1600 resolution, so no extra screen is required.

Will my older USB-A peripherals work with the three Superspeed USB Type-A ports?

Yes, the three Superspeed USB Type-A ports accept standard USB-A plugs, so existing mice, keyboards and drives connect directly.

How can I confirm the 300 Hz refresh rate is active after setting up Windows 11 Home?

Open Settings > System > Display > Advanced display and verify the refresh rate dropdown shows 300 Hz for the internal panel.
