Thunderobot Storm 17 gaming laptop

The Thunderobot Storm 17 is a 2025 gaming laptop built around a 17.3-inch QHD display with a 165 Hz refresh rate. It runs on an Intel Core i7-13620H processor with 10 cores and 16 threads, paired with a GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU, 32 GB of DDR5 4800 memory and a 1 TB PCIe SSD. Windows 11 Home comes pre-installed.

Installation and common issues

The system arrives fully assembled with the operating system, drivers and 32 GB of DDR5 already installed, so no hardware installation is required for typical use. The supplier notes memory can be expanded up to 64 GB and storage up to 2 TB, though opening the chassis may void the manufacturer warranty. Buyers should verify the exact screw layout and cable routing before attempting any upgrade.

Practical limits of DDR5 4800 and Wi-Fi 6

DDR5 4800 memory operates at its rated 4800 MT/s speed; higher frequencies are not supported by the platform. The 1 TB PCIe SSD delivers sequential throughput limited by the PCIe lane allocation of the mobile chipset. Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) provides improved efficiency in congested environments, but real-world throughput depends on router capability, channel width and local interference.
