Check grip comfort and eraser needs

Verify that a triangular shape suits the child's hand orientation and writing style. The latex-free eraser is built in for clean corrections. Each pencil weighs only .07 pounds so fatigue stays low during practice.

Wood casing and built-in eraser

Premium wood sharpens evenly with minimal breakage thanks to the 3.6 mm graphite core. The triangular profile prevents rolling off desks. PMA certified non-toxic materials make them safe for everyday school or home use.

Questions about this item

What comes in the 4-count pack and do I need to buy erasers separately?

The pack includes four yellow triangular wood-cased pencils, each with a latex-free eraser already attached; no separate erasers are required.

How do I choose between the available versions or capacities for the My First Short pencils?

This model is offered only as a 4-count pack of #2 HB pencils measuring 4.5 inches long with a 13/32-inch diameter; no other capacities or hardness grades are listed.

What does the 4.5-inch length mean once the pencil is in a child's hand?

The shorter 4.5-inch shaft fits small hands naturally, encourages a proper tripod grip and reduces leverage that causes lead breakage during early writing practice.
