What it is

The Tiffen 4x4" Graduated ND 1.2 Glass Filter is a camera accessory designed for photographers who need precise light control in high-contrast scenes. It uses ColorCore glass to maintain clarity and colour fidelity while reducing exposure by up to four stops. This filter suits landscape and travel shooters who want to balance bright skies with darker foregrounds in a single frame.

How it fits

The 100x100x4mm glass slides into a standard 4x4 inch filter holder, so you need a compatible holder and adapter rings for your lens threads. It frees you from carrying multiple fixed-strength filters because the graduated transition covers a range of lighting conditions. Buyers who want a screw-on circular filter or a hard-edge transition will not find that here.

Thermals noise power

Passive glass construction means there are no electronics, fans or moving parts to generate heat or noise. The filter draws zero power and adds no thermal load to your kit. It simply modifies the light entering the lens, leaving camera battery life and operating temperature unchanged.
