Professional Light Control

The Tiffen 6.6x6.6" Water White Glass ND0.9 filter provides a precise 3-stop reduction for cinematographers and photographers who need to widen apertures or slow shutters in bright conditions without shifting colour balance. Its neutral density of 0.9 delivers uniform exposure control across the full frame.

Capacity and Headroom

The filter handles bright daylight scenes where three stops of attenuation are sufficient to maintain creative depth of field or motion blur. It runs out when lighting demands more than 0.9 density, requiring a stronger filter or stacked combination to achieve the desired exposure.

Water White Glass Construction

Crafted from water white glass using ColorCore lamination, the filter is ground and polished to a flatness of 1/10,000th of an inch to preserve critical sharpness and colour fidelity in professional workflows.

Questions about this item

Will the 6.6x6.6" size fit the matte box I already use?

The filter measures 6.6 by 6.6 inches, matching standard 6.6x6.6 matte box trays used in professional cinema rigs.

How can I verify the ND0.9 density is accurate once mounted?

Meter a scene with and without the filter; a correct 3-stop reduction will show a consistent 0.9 density shift across the frame.

Does the package include a protective case or pouch for the glass?

The filter ships as a single 6.6x6.6" Water White glass element; cases or pouches are sold separately.
