Tiffen 62mm Yellow 8 Filter video accessory

What it is

The Tiffen 62mm Yellow 8 Filter is a screw-on glass accessory sized for 62 mm lens threads. It is designed primarily for black-and-white imaging where it improves contrast and delivers the most natural tonal correction across the scene.

Who it suits

Photographers and videographers shooting monochrome who want realistic cloud definition against blue skies will benefit. It also serves as a creative tonal tool for colour work. Users needing stronger haze penetration or more dramatic landscape contrast should consider the Yellow 12 or Yellow 15 variants instead.

Capacity and headroom

The medium yellow density comfortably handles typical daylight scenes, rendering clouds naturally without excessive darkening. In situations with heavy atmospheric haze or when a more pronounced infrared effect is required, the filter reaches its limit and a stronger grade becomes necessary.
