Tiffen 72mm 15 Deep Yellow Filter

Deep yellow contrast filter

The Tiffen Deep Yellow #15 filter is designed for black-and-white photography. It attaches to lenses with a 72mm thread. The filter renders skies dramatically darker and increases contrast more strongly than a Yellow 8 filter. It is intended primarily for monochrome imaging.

Effect on skies and clouds

The deep yellow tint deepens blue skies and separates clouds from the background. This creates more dramatic tonal separation in landscape, marine and aerial scenes. The filter changes the way black-and-white film or sensors record colour contrast. No additional accessories or software are included in the package.

For black-and-white shooters

Photographers working with black-and-white film or digital monochrome modes will benefit from the increased contrast control. Colour photographers or those needing a lighter yellow effect should look at a different filter density. Users with lenses that do not accept a 72mm thread cannot mount this filter.
