Tiffen 82HZE 82mm UV Haze 1 camera filter

Tiffen 82mm UV Haze 1 Filter

The Tiffen 82mm UV Haze 1 Filter is a clear optical glass filter designed to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast common in daylight photography. It is intended for photographers who want to protect their front lens element from dust, moisture and accidental scratches while maintaining image clarity. The filter threads onto any lens with an 82mm filter thread.

Suited for outdoor and high-altitude shooting

This filter suits photographers working at high altitudes or near large bodies of water where atmospheric haze is strongest. It also serves well as a permanent protective layer for expensive lenses. Shooters who require creative colour shifts, contrast enhancement or light reduction should look at specialised filters instead, as this model adds no colouration or exposure change.

Consistent haze reduction under sustained use

The filter absorbs nearly three quarters of UV light continuously, so its haze-cutting performance does not diminish during long shooting sessions. ColorCore technology embeds the absorption properties within the glass rather than relying on surface coatings, preventing uneven wear. The optically flat surfaces maintain sharpness and colour fidelity frame after frame.
