Tiffen B60 Skylight Bayonet Filter

The Tiffen B60 Skylight filter is a 60mm bayonet mount glass accessory for camera lenses. It reduces excessive blue tones and adds warmth to improve image quality in outdoor settings. The filter absorbs nearly half of UV light while introducing a slight pink tint for natural colour rendition. It suits photographers and videographers seeking lens protection and subtle colour balance adjustment.

Fits Bayonet Mount Lenses Needing UV Protection

This filter mounts directly onto compatible bayonet style lens fronts without extra adapters. It shields the front element from scratches dust and accidental impacts during regular use. The minimal 1/10th f-stop light absorption means no exposure compensation is required. It frees the user from carrying separate UV and warming filters by combining both functions.

Upgrades From Bare Lens Or Basic UV Filter

It replaces shooting with an unprotected lens or a standard UV filter that offers no colour correction. The jump is worth it when you want warmer skin tones and reduced haze in open shade or overcast conditions without changing exposure settings. It is not for buyers who need stronger warming effects or filters for non-bayonet thread mounts.

Questions about this item

How much light does the filter absorb before exposure compensation becomes necessary?

The B60 Skylight filter absorbs only one-tenth of an f-stop, so you can shoot without adjusting exposure in typical conditions.

Does the glass or bayonet mount generate heat during extended outdoor use?

The filter is passive optical glass with no electronics, so it produces no heat and draws no power during all-day shooting.

Which lens thread size must the camera already have for this bayonet filter to attach?

The filter is sized for 60 mm bayonet mount lenses, so your lens must accept 60 mm bayonet accessories.
