Classic Japanese rice cooker

The Tiger JNP-1500 is a conventional electric rice cooker made in Japan with a 1.5 litre capacity. It suits households that want a simple cooker and warmer for everyday white rice without programmable menus or pressure cooking.

Scratch-resistant pot and retractable cord

The aluminium inner pot carries a fluorine coating that resists scratches during daily use and cleaning. A retractable power cord stores inside the body, reducing clutter on the worktop and making the unit easier to move or put away.

Detachable lid parts simplify cleaning

The inner lid and steam gaskets come off without tools so they can be washed separately after each batch. Automatic keep-warm holds cooked rice at serving temperature for up to 12 hours, removing the need to reheat.

Questions about this item

Does the 120 V 60 Hz rating limit use to North American outlets?

Yes, the cooker is rated for 120 V at 60 Hz, so it is designed for standard North American household power.

What are the exact dimensions and weight I need to allow on the countertop?

The unit measures 29.9 cm wide, 27.2 cm deep and 27.3 cm high, weighing approximately 3.5 kg.

How do I fit the inner lid and steam gasket back after washing so the keep-warm cycle works?

Align the inner lid’s tabs with the slots, press until it clicks, then seat the rubber gasket flat in its groove; the lid must lock or the 12-hour keep-warm will not activate.
