Atomic Time Synchronization

The Timloon VGW-533 is a small digital desk clock that automatically receives the WWVB radio signal from Fort Collins, Colorado to set its time and date. It searches daily between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM and offers four selectable time zones: EST, PST, MST, and CST. Reception is stronger in central regions but may be weaker in coastal areas or reinforced concrete spaces. If the signal cannot be received, the clock functions as a standard manual-set device.

Environmental Monitoring Range

The unit measures indoor temperature from 14°F to 140°F (-10°C to 60°C) and humidity from 20% to 95% RH. An air comfort indicator displays three levels: COMFORT for humidity between 30% and 60%, DRY below 30%, and WET above 60%. Users can switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius readouts with a dedicated button. This provides instant visual feedback on room conditions without needing a separate hygrometer.

Alarm and Physical Format

A programmable alarm includes a 5-minute snooze function that ends when any button other than Snooze/Light is pressed. The clock body measures 1.0 in x 3.81 in x 3.6 in and is finished in white. It is not suited for users who require atomic sync outside the four supported North American zones or who need smart-home connectivity such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

Questions about this item

Will this clock sync automatically if I keep it near my older TV or computer?

The receiver searches for the WWVB signal daily between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM. For best reception place the unit near a window away from TVs, computers and reinforced concrete walls. If the signal is weak you can switch to manual time setting.

How can I verify the atomic sync is working after I set it up?

After inserting the battery the clock enters a 7 minute search mode. Once the WWVB signal is acquired the correct time and date appear automatically. Daily corrections occur between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM.

What is included with the VGW-533 and do I need to buy a battery separately?

The box contains the digital clock unit measuring 1.0 in x 3.81 in x 3.6 in. A battery is required for operation and is not included.
