Guts and Glory downloadable game

Guts and Glory is a casual downloadable game published by tinyBuild LLC and developed by HakJak. It is delivered as a Steam online code for PC and requires a third-party Steam account to activate. The title launched on 18 July 2018 and supports spoken English with subtitles and menus in nine languages including French, German and Japanese.

Minimum and recommended system requirements

Minimum specifications call for Windows 7 or newer, a 2 GHz dual-core processor, 2 GB RAM and a dedicated graphics card such as a GeForce GT 650M or Radeon R9 M375 with a benchmark of 1200. Recommended specifications raise the processor to an i5 or better and memory to 4 GB RAM while keeping the same operating system baseline. DirectX 9.0c and 6 GB of available storage are required for both tiers.

Build quality and day-to-day implications

The download-only packaging means no physical media to store and instant access once the Steam code is redeemed. Steam DRM ties the licence to the account, so the game travels with the user across machines. A controller is recommended for the best gameplay experience, while a keyboard and mouse remain necessary for the level editor. Integrated Intel HD graphics are explicitly not supported.

Questions about this item

Will Guts and Glory run on my older Windows 7 PC with a dual-core 2 GHz processor and 2 GB RAM?

Yes, those meet the minimum requirements: Windows 7 or newer, a 2 GHz dual-core CPU, 2 GB RAM, and a GeForce GT 650M or Radeon R9 M375 graphics card with a benchmark of 1200.

How do I verify the Steam code activates correctly after purchase?

Redeem the code in the Steam client; Guts and Glory will appear in your library and launch, confirming the DRM handshake succeeded.

Does the download include a controller or must I supply my own?

The product is a Steam code only; a controller is recommended for gameplay but is not included, and keyboard plus mouse are required for the level editor.
