Essential Rear Protection for Sony E-Mount Lenses

The Tokina rear lens cap is built for photographers and videographers who need to shield the rear element of their Sony E-mount lenses from dust, scratches and accidental impacts. It preserves optical performance and equipment integrity during storage or transport. The accessory is crafted from durable, lightweight composite plastic for long-term reliability.

Consistent Defence During Extended Storage

The cap maintains a secure, snug fit on the lens mount to prevent accidental detachment over long periods. Its smooth interior surface continuously guards the rear glass against abrasion without degrading. The robust composite construction withstands repeated fitting and removal while retaining its protective shape and alignment.

Verify Sony E-Mount Compatibility Before Ordering

This cap is designed exclusively for lenses featuring the Sony E-mount interface and will not fit other mount systems. Check that your specific lens uses this mount type to ensure the precision fit required for reliable protection. Buyers needing caps for A-mount, Z-mount, RF-mount or other systems should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the Tokina rear cap add any noticeable weight or heat when left on a Sony E-mount lens all day?

The cap is made from lightweight composite plastic and adds negligible mass; as a passive cover it generates no heat and has no power draw.

What must I already own for this Tokina rear cap to function?

You need a Sony E-mount lens; the cap simply twists onto the rear mount of that lens to protect the rear element.

Will this Tokina cap fit older Sony A-mount lenses I still use?

No — it is designed exclusively for Sony E-mount lenses and will not mount on A-mount or other systems.
