A 4-inch steel sway-brace pipe clamp, 8 3/8 in long and 1 1/8 in wide with a plain finish, meets OPM and OSHPD standards for conduit support
The Tolco 4 B sway brace pipe clamp secures 4-inch conduit, pipe or threaded rod against lateral movement. It is intended for electrical contractors and mechanical installers who need code-compliant seismic or sway restraint in commercial and industrial projects. The plain-finish steel body meets OPM and OSHPD standards for structural attachment.
The clamp is manufactured to satisfy OPM and OSHPD requirements, so inspectors accept it for essential-facility piping systems without additional engineering submittals. Its 8 3/8-inch length and 1 1/8-inch width provide the bearing surface the standards demand, while the plain finish allows field painting or coating to match project specifications.
The clamp fits nominal 4-inch conduit, pipe or threaded rod, delivering the listed bearing area for horizontal sway loads. It does not accommodate smaller or larger trade sizes, so separate clamps are required for each pipe diameter on the job. The plain steel offers no corrosion protection beyond the factory finish.

The plain-finish steel clamp has no moving parts; once the set screws are torqued to the conduit specification it requires no scheduled re-tightening.
The brace is rated to OPM and OSHPD sway-brace standards, so the published seismic design load for 4-inch conduit is the governing limit.
The clamp is a passive steel component; it contributes no measurable heat beyond the ambient temperature of the surrounding conduit.
