Topmate C12 for 15.6-17.3 inch laptops

The Topmate C12 is a laptop cooling pad built for 15.6 to 17.3 inch notebooks. It uses six fans to move air across a metal mesh surface. An LCD control panel lets you set fan speed, fan mode and RGB lighting. Two USB ports on the rear pass through connections for a mouse, keyboard or phone charger.

Thermals noise and power draw

Six fans spin at two speeds: small fans at 2400 RPM and large fans at 1400 RPM. The supplier describes them as quiet while delivering strong airflow. Power comes from a braided USB cable that plugs into the laptop, so no external adapter is required. The metal mesh panel helps dissipate heat without adding noticeable weight.

Upgrading from basic pads or no cooler

This pad replaces single-fan coolers or no cooler at all when surface temperatures rise during long sessions. The eight height settings improve typing angle and reduce neck strain. Buyers who need a smaller footprint for 13 inch ultraportables or who want a completely silent passive stand will not be served by this model.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Topmate C12 cooling pad and which step do people often miss?

Connect the braided USB cable to your laptop, place the device on the metal mesh panel, then use the LCD control panel to select fan speed and one of the 10 RGB lighting modes before use.

What maintenance or replacement will the Topmate C12 need later?

The six fans — small ones at 2400 RPM and large ones at 1400 RPM — may collect dust over time; clean the metal mesh and fan intakes periodically to maintain airflow.

What limit appears first on the Topmate C12 during sustained use?

The maximum supported laptop size is 17.3 inches, so larger devices will not fit securely on the cooling surface.
