What the E30 II is and who it serves
The Topping E30 II is a compact DAC and pre-amplifier that adds high-resolution digital decoding to any stereo system. It accepts USB, coaxial and optical sources and provides RCA line-level output for an amplifier or powered speakers. The included remote control and LED display make it practical for desktop or living-room setups where a simple volume knob is preferred over software control.
Capacity and headroom: what it handles
Dual AK4493S chips decode PCM up to 32-bit/768 kHz and native DSD up to DSD512 over USB, while coaxial and optical inputs accept PCM up to 24-bit/192 kHz. This covers virtually all streaming services and local files. The USB interface does not support DSD512 in DoP mode, topping out at DSD256 there, so users relying on DoP encapsulation should verify compatibility with their playback software.
What it replaces and when the step up matters
The E30 II upgrades a computer motherboard, game console or television audio output with a dedicated digital-to-analogue stage and discrete low-noise regulation. It also replaces a basic DAC that lacks pre-amplifier functionality or remote volume control. The jump is worthwhile when the source device has only digital outputs and the listener wants measurable distortion reduction plus convenient hardware volume control without buying a larger integrated amplifier.

Questions about this item
Will the E30 II work with my older CD transport that only has a coaxial output?
Yes, the coaxial input accepts PCM up to 24-bit/192 kHz, so a legacy CD transport will connect and play correctly.
How can I confirm the E30 II is decoding high-resolution files at their native rate?
The front LED display shows the incoming sample rate and bit depth, letting you verify 32-bit/768 kHz PCM or DSD512 playback in real time.
Does the package include everything needed to connect to a PC and an amplifier right away?
The box contains the E30 II, a USB cable, a DC power cable, a remote control, a user manual and a warranty card; you only need to add a USB power source and a pair of RCA interconnects for your amplifier.
