Compatible Dell replacement

This 6-cell 68Whr battery fits Dell laptops that use the same form factor and connector. It is intended for owners whose original pack no longer holds a useful charge and who want a direct swap without adapters or modifications.

Upgrade from depleted packs

The unit replaces a worn-out factory battery that has dropped below acceptable run time. The jump is worth it when the laptop otherwise meets your needs but shuts down early or throttles because the old cells can no longer deliver sustained current.

Limited by laptop charging circuit

Practical capacity is governed by the host device’s charging algorithm and firmware, which may stop short of the rated 68Whr. The 17 March 2026 listing date reflects when the part entered the catalogue, not a change to the electrical interface.

Questions about this item

Which Dell models does the 6-cell 68Whr battery fit?

The pack is built as a direct replacement for compatible Dell notebooks; match the original Dell part number or service tag to confirm fit before ordering.

What is the correct way to install the 68Whr battery and avoid the common mistake?

Power off the laptop, unplug the AC adapter, release the latch, slide the pack in until it clicks, then charge fully before first use — skipping the full initial charge is the step most people miss.

When will the 68Whr battery need replacement?

Capacity drops gradually with each charge cycle; plan on a new pack when runtime no longer meets your workload, typically after a few years of daily cycling.
