What these lid lifters do

The Tovolo 81-4467 set contains three silicone lid lifters shaped as farm animals. They prop up pot lids to let steam escape and stop boil-overs. The pieces are dishwasher safe and made entirely of food-grade silicone.

Check your pot rims before buying

These lifters are designed to sit securely on the rim of most standard pots. Verify that your cookware has a compatible rim profile so the lifters grip firmly and do not slip during cooking.

Who they suit and who they don't

Ideal for home cooks who frequently simmer sauces, soups or pasta and want hands-free steam control. Not suited for kitchens that only use rimless cookware or for anyone needing a single universal lifter rather than a set of three.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need anything else to use them?

The box contains three silicone lid lifters shaped like farm animals. No extra parts or tools are required; they sit directly on the pot rim.

How do I choose between the Farm Animals, Sheep and Smiley Faces sets?

Each set includes three lifters in its own theme. Pick the Farm Animals set if you want the animal shapes shown here; the other two sets offer different character designs.

What does the claim about preventing boil-overs mean when I am actually cooking?

The lifters prop the lid open a small gap so steam escapes continuously, keeping bubbles from climbing over the pot edge while you simmer or boil.
