Compact smart plug for indoor automation

The TP-LINK 605450 adds wireless control to lamps, fans or small appliances from a standard outlet. It connects to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and is managed through the WiZ app or voice assistants. The white finish and slim profile suit living rooms, bedrooms or home offices without drawing attention.

Sunset-to-sunrise scheduling plus motion linking

Built-in automation turns connected devices on at sunset and off at sunrise using Alexa routines. SpaceSense motion detection triggers power when movement is sensed, though the feature requires two WiZ devices to function. Users can also create custom schedules, timers and lighting presets directly in the app.

Matter-certified with outlet-friendly dimensions

The plug carries UL certification and measures 72 mm wide, leaving the neighbouring socket free for another device. At 0.191 kg it stays firmly seated without weighing down the outlet. No separate hub or gateway is needed; setup completes in seconds after inserting the plug and opening the WiZ app.

Questions about this item

Will the UL-listed smart plug need periodic replacement or maintenance?

The plug carries a UL listing and has no user-serviceable parts; it is designed to operate continuously without scheduled maintenance or replacement intervals.

What is the first limitation I hit when running a load continuously through the 605450?

Sustained operation is limited by the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection; if the network drops the plug cannot receive new commands until the link recovers.

How much heat or noise does the white smart plug produce when left on all day?

The compact 72 mm body runs silently with no fan, and normal warmth stays low because the unit only switches the connected load.
