Outdoor dual-outlet Wi-Fi Matter smart plug

The TP-LINK 81912-TS1 adds independent wireless control to two grounded outlets for string lights, holiday décor, fans or water features. It connects directly to a 2.4GHz home Wi-Fi network without a separate hub. Voice commands work through Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit. The Matter-equipped design also lets any certified controller manage the outlets.

Replaces timer boxes and single-outdoor-socket

Swapping a mechanical timer or a single smart socket for this unit gives per-outlet scheduling, grouping and automation based on time, weather or location. The jump is worth it when you want to run two different loads on independent programmes or combine them in a single scene. Builders who need more than two switched circuits will need additional units.

Sustained outdoor operation

The plug is built for continuous outdoor use and maintains its Wi-Fi link while driving seasonal lighting, fans or water features over long periods. Separate outlet control means one load can run all night while the other follows a dusk-to-dawn schedule without the radio dropping out. The 72-inch cord reaches distant sockets without strain.

Questions about this item

What length of cord or cable does the 81912-TS1 include for positioning the two grounded outlets?

The unit measures 72 inches overall, giving that reach between the plug and the dual outlets for outdoor string lights or fans.

Which app and network band are used for the initial Matter pairing of this outdoor smart plug?

Connect the plug to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, then add it through the Enbrighten app or any Matter-certified controller for voice control with Alexa, Google Assistant or Apple HomeKit.

Are the two outlets individually replaceable or does the whole 81912-TS1 need swapping if one fails?

The outlets are built into a single sealed housing, so a failure means replacing the complete dual-outlet smart plug rather than a single socket.
