Check Internet Type and Wiring

This product is a cable modem router combination, so an active coaxial line from your ISP is required for the primary unit. Verify that your subscription speed does not exceed the 1 Gbps service tier the hardware is designed for. Ensure you have mains sockets near the desired node locations and Cat 5e or better cabling if you plan to use wired Ethernet backhaul between units.

Three Gigabit Ports Per Node

Each Deco unit provides three Gigabit Ethernet ports, giving six wired connections in total across the pack. Any port can serve as the WAN or LAN link, allowing flexible placement of switches, PCs or smart TVs. The white plastic chassis is designed for shelf or tabletop mounting and blends into home décor without external antennas.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy anything else to get started?

The 2-pack includes two Deco X55 units, each with three Gigabit Ethernet ports. You will need a separate cable modem or ONT from your ISP to provide the internet connection.

How do I decide between the 2-pack and a larger pack for my home?

A 2-pack covers up to 4500 square feet and supports up to 150 devices. Choose a larger pack only if your home exceeds that area or you need more wired ports in additional rooms.

What does the AX3000 rating mean for my actual network speeds?

AX3000 represents the combined theoretical maximum of 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on the other band. Real-world throughput will be lower and depends on your ISP plan, client devices, and home layout.
