TP-Link EAP673 AX5400 Ceiling Mount Access Point

SKU CH-6K1D-P060P

Ceiling-mount Wi-Fi 6 access point delivering 5400 Mbps dual-band speed with a 2.5 Gigabit port and PoE+ power

  • AX5400 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 delivers up to 5400 Mbps total throughput
  • 5 Gigabit Ethernet port enables multi-gigabit wired backhaul for faster Wi-Fi
  • 3at PoE+ support allows flexible ceiling mounting without a separate power adapter
  • Omada SDN platform provides centralised cloud management via hardware, software or app controllers
  • MU-MIMO, 160 MHz channels, beamforming and seamless roaming optimise capacity for dense environments

Built for high-density Wi-Fi 6 deployments

The EAP673 is a ceiling-mount access point that delivers dual-band AX5400 speeds using 1024-QAM and 160 MHz channels. It targets offices, schools and hospitality venues where many clients share the same airtime and seamless roaming is required. A 2.5 Gigabit uplink prevents the wired link from becoming the bottleneck.

Verify PoE+ infrastructure and mounting surface

The unit draws up to 19.8 W and requires 802.3at PoE+; a 12 V DC adapter is not included. Confirm your switch ports can supply that budget and that the ceiling material can hold the bracket. Only a single 2.5 Gigabit RJ45 port is present, so no link aggregation or secondary wired backhaul is possible.

Fits Omada SDN ecosystems and frees cable runs

Management works through an Omada hardware controller, the software controller or the cloud platform; standalone mode is also available. Six internal antennas handle MU-MIMO, band steering, beamforming, airtime fairness and load balancing without external hardware. PoE+ power removes the need for a nearby mains outlet, simplifying placement in drop ceilings.

Questions about this item

Does the EAP673 include a 12 V DC power adapter in the box, or must it be purchased separately?

The 12 V DC power adapter is not included; the unit is powered via the 802.3at PoE+ port or a separately sourced adapter.

Should I select the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band for the highest throughput on this AP?

The 5 GHz radio delivers up to 4804 Mbps versus 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, so 5 GHz provides the higher speed.

What does the AX5400 rating mean for real-world wireless performance on the EAP673?

AX5400 represents the combined theoretical maximum of 574 Mbps at 2.4 GHz plus 4804 Mbps at 5 GHz; actual throughput will be lower due to overhead and environmental factors.
