8-Port Smart Managed PoE Switch

The TP-Link Festa FS308GP is an 8-port Gigabit smart managed switch designed for small business networks. It combines four PoE+ ports with four standard Gigabit ports in a fanless metal chassis. Cloud management through the Festa platform allows remote configuration without an on-site IT technician. The switch operates independently of the Omada ecosystem.

61 W PoE budget across four ports

Four PoE+ ports deliver up to 30 W each within a total power budget of 61 W, supporting devices such as access points and IP cameras. The remaining four Gigabit ports provide non-PoE connectivity for servers or desktop uplinks. Static routing and features like VLAN, ACL and LAG help organise internal traffic. Fanless cooling keeps operation silent in office environments.

Upgrade from unmanaged switches

This switch replaces basic unmanaged units when centralised cloud control, PoE power or traffic segmentation become necessary. It suits deployments that need remote monitoring and zero-touch provisioning without the complexity of enterprise-grade controllers. Buyers who require Omada integration or more than four powered ports should consider a different product line.

Questions about this item

Will the 61 W PoE budget cover four IP cameras at 30 W each alongside the four non-PoE gigabit ports?

The 61 W budget can power four PoE+ devices at up to 30 W per port, but the total draw across all four PoE+ ports must stay within 61 W, while the four non-PoE ports provide standard gigabit links.

How can I confirm the Self-Organizing Network has linked the switch to my Festa access points after setup?

Open the Festa app or web portal; the topology map will show the FS308GP and any connected Festa APs with green status icons once the SON handshake completes.

Does the package include mounting brackets for wall installation or must I buy them separately?

The metal casing ships with desktop feet and wall-mount brackets in the box, so no extra hardware is needed for either placement.
