Matter-Certified Two-Pack Smart Plug

The TP-LINK HWSP02M2 is a Matter-certified smart plug sold as a two-pack for indoor use. Each unit supports 15A and 1800W loads on a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Local LAN control works without cloud dependency when paired with a Matter hub such as HomePod, Echo Dot, Nest or SmartThings. Setup uses Bluetooth for QR code pairing and Amazon FFS for auto-pairing with compatible Alexa devices.

Ideal for Unified Smart Home Control

This pack suits households that want a single platform to manage lights, fans, TVs and small appliances through Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home or SmartThings. Buyers who need 5GHz Wi-Fi support, outdoor-rated outlets, USB charging ports or energy monitoring data should look at alternative products that provide those specific features.

Check Your Network and Hub Before Buying

Verify that your router broadcasts a 2.4GHz SSID and that you own a Matter-certified controller to enable local control. Confirm the total connected load stays within the 15A and 1800W limits per outlet. Ensure the intended location is indoors and within range of both the Wi-Fi signal and the Bluetooth pairing process.

Questions about this item

What type of hub or controller must I already have to use these Matter smart plugs?

A Matter-certified hub or controller such as a HomePod, Echo Dot, Nest or SmartThings hub is required to connect the plugs to Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home or SmartThings.

Will the plugs still operate my existing 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network if the internet goes down?

Yes, local LAN control keeps the plugs working through a Matter-certified controller even when home internet is unavailable, as long as the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network remains active.

How can I verify each plug is functioning correctly after pairing?

Use the Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home or SmartThings app to toggle the plug on and off, then confirm the connected appliance responds and that any scheduled timer or countdown executes at the set time.
