Five-port Gigabit switch with four PoE+ ports and a 65 W power budget for IP cameras or access points
The TL-SG105PE provides five 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports, four of which deliver IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ power. A total budget of 65 W feeds wireless access points, IP cameras or VoIP phones over a single cable. Smart management features include VLAN, QoS, IGMP snooping and link aggregation for small business or advanced home networks.
With no moving parts the switch runs silently in a 0 °C to 40 °C operating range. Idle consumption measures 4.52 W at 220 V, rising to 75.16 W when the full 65 W PoE load is connected. An external 53.5 VDC 1.31 A adapter supplies all power, so no internal PSU heat is generated inside the compact 3.90" square metal chassis.
This unit replaces basic desktop switches that lack PoE or any management interface. The jump is worth it when you need to power up to four PoE+ devices without separate injectors and want VLAN segmentation or traffic prioritisation. Buyers who need more than four powered ports, a higher total PoE budget, or Layer 3 routing should look elsewhere.

Connect the external 53.5 VDC power adapter first, then plug Ethernet cables into the five RJ45 ports; the step users miss is enabling VLAN or QoS in the web GUI because the switch defaults to unmanaged plug-and-play behaviour.
The fanless design has no moving parts to service; only the external power adapter may need replacement if its 1.31 A output degrades, and rubber feet can be swapped if they lose grip.
The 65 W total PoE budget caps combined draw across ports 1–4, so sustained 30 W on multiple devices triggers power rationing before the 0 °C–40 °C thermal limit is reached.
