A 16-port Gigabit switch with web-managed QoS, VLAN and IGMP features in a metal desktop or wall-mount case
The TL-SG116E provides 16 RJ45 ports operating at 10/100/1000Mbps for wired network expansion. It suits home offices and small businesses needing reliable connectivity without complex setup. The metal casing protects internal components while supporting desktop or wall-mount placement. An external 9V DC 0.6A power adapter supplies up to 9.3W maximum consumption.
Installation requires no configuration; simply connect devices and the switch auto-negotiates link speed on every port. Auto MDI/MDI-X crossover eliminates the need for special uplink cables. The web interface and downloadable utility add QoS, VLAN, IGMP Snooping and Link Aggregation when needed. Misconfigured VLAN tags or exceeding the 8K MAC table are the typical issues that disrupt traffic.
The switch complies with IEEE 802.3i, 802.3u, 802.3ab, 802.3x, 802.1q and 802.1p for twisted-pair Gigabit Ethernet. Jumbo frames up to 9KB and 4.1MB buffer memory handle larger packets, but total throughput cannot exceed the 1000Mbps per port ceiling. No PoE support means attached devices need their own power. The unmanaged core limits advanced routing or stacking capabilities.

Check that each of the 16 RJ45 port LEDs lights up at 1000 Mbps when a Gigabit device is linked, and verify traffic flows through the web utility or management utility.
The package includes the switch, an external 9V DC 0.6A power adapter and mounting hardware; Ethernet cables for the 16 ports are not supplied.
The single TL-SG116E model already provides 16 Gigabit ports with VLAN, QoS, IGMP snooping and link aggregation, so no other capacity or version exists to select.
