Eight-port PoE+ switch for IP cameras

The TL-SL1311MP is an unmanaged desktop switch with eight 10/100 Mbps PoE+ ports, two Gigabit RJ45 uplinks and one Gigabit SFP slot. It delivers up to 30 W per port within a 124 W total budget, powering IEEE 802.3af/at devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points or VoIP phones over a single cable. No configuration software is required.

Plug-and-play setup with two range-extending modes

Installation is limited to connecting the external 53.5 VDC 2.43 A adapter and patch cables; the switch auto-negotiates speed and detects powered devices automatically. Extend Mode pushes data and power to 250 m at 10 Mbps for long camera runs, while Isolation Mode suppresses broadcast storms between ports. Priority-based overload protection cuts power from the lowest-priority port first when the 124 W budget is exceeded.

124 W PoE budget across eight 10/100 ports

The switch comfortably handles multiple cameras or access points drawing up to 30 W each until the 124 W limit is reached, at which point port priority (port 1 through port 8) determines which devices stay powered. Maximum system draw is 140.92 W with full PoE load. Gigabit uplinks and the SFP slot provide 1000 Mbps backbone links, but the eight PoE ports remain fixed at 10/100 Mbps, so high-bandwidth endpoints will be constrained.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the TL-SL1311MP is delivering power to my IP cameras after connecting them?

Each PoE+ port has an LED indicator that lights when a powered device is detected and receiving up to 30 W; the total PoE budget is 124 W, so all eight ports active simultaneously will stay within that limit.

What accessories are included with the TL-SL1311MP and what must I purchase separately?

The box contains the switch, an external power adapter rated 53.5 VDC / 2.43 A, and an installation guide; you will need to buy Ethernet patch cables and any SFP transceiver module for the Gigabit SFP slot.

When should I choose the Extend Mode on this switch instead of the default setting?

Select Extend Mode when a camera or access point sits up to 250 m from the switch; the mode drops the link speed to 10 Mbps but maintains both data and PoE power over the longer cable run.
