Quiet outdoor training aid

The Traditions XHR-BK sonic bark deterrent is a handheld device designed to reduce excessive dog barking at distances up to 50 ft. It emits an ultrasonic tone audible to dogs but inaudible to most humans. A built-in 2000 mAh battery recharges via USB in roughly two hours. The ABS housing carries an IPX5 rating for rain resistance.

Suits owners needing portable, weather-proof control

This tool fits dog owners who want a rechargeable, hand-held deterrent for walks, patios or garden boundaries. It is not intended for indoor-only use, multi-dog kennels requiring automatic activation, or situations demanding a collar-mounted correction system. Buyers who need a larger coverage radius or a bark-activated stationary unit should look elsewhere.

USB charging removes battery cost

The integrated 2000 mAh cell eliminates the need to purchase disposable batteries. A full USB charge takes about two hours and provides multiple training sessions. No companion app, remote control or additional accessories are included in the package.

Questions about this item

Does this deterrent need a wall outlet or any wiring to operate?

It runs on an internal 2000mAh battery that recharges via USB in about 2 hours, so no permanent wiring or outlet is required.

Will the ultrasonic sound affect my older dog that wears a hearing aid?

The device emits ultrasonic frequencies designed for canine hearing; human hearing aids generally do not amplify that range, so the older dog should not be disturbed.

How can I confirm the unit is active after I mount it outside?

Select one of the three modes and watch for the indicator light; the device will then emit its ultrasonic tone when barking is detected within 50ft.
