What the service provides

Transfer Home Movies sends you a Memories Box and a digitise-and-transfer guide so you can ship your old videotapes for conversion. The service covers VHS, VHS-C, 8mm, Hi8, Digital8 and MiniDV formats with no extra charge for longer tapes. You receive the finished footage as a digital MP4 file ready for cloud download.

How the box and shipping work

The Memories Box arrives empty and can hold multiple tapes even though the initial purchase covers one tape. You choose any carrier you prefer to return the filled box. After conversion the original tapes are recycled 30 days later unless you arrange and pay for return shipping.

Digital delivery window

The completed MP4 is available for cloud download for 30 days, giving you a fixed period to save the files to your own devices. Optional thumbdrive or DVD copies can be ordered separately if you need physical media.
