SKU CH-76HH-64WEC MPN ION106-AAB-NA

A six-slot server chassis with redundant AC power supply for reliable uptime

  • 6-slot capacity supports multiple ION modules
  • Redundant AC power supply maintains uptime during failures
  • New condition ensures full manufacturer reliability
  • Designed for Transition Networks ION106 platform

6-Slot Ion Server Chassis

This Transition Networks ION106-AAB-NA chassis provides six slots for Ion modules and includes a redundant AC power supply. It is built for network managers who need a high-density platform to consolidate media converters or managed switches in a single rack-mount unit. New condition ensures full service life from deployment.

Redundant AC Power Supply

The bundled redundant AC power supply delivers fail-over protection so a single supply failure does not interrupt connected modules. This topology keeps thermals stable under normal load because the second supply shares current without extra heat. Audible noise remains at typical rack-chassis levels suitable for equipment rooms.

Questions about this item

How is the ION106-AAB-NA server chassis installed in a rack, and which step is commonly missed?

Mount the 6-slot chassis using the included rack ears, then secure both redundant AC power supplies; the step often missed is connecting each supply to a separate circuit for true redundancy.

What maintenance will the redundant AC power supplies need over time?

Plan to replace the hot-swap AC power modules when their internal fans degrade or after a power event; each supply slides out without tools while the chassis stays powered.
