Sustained operation

The unit draws up to 20 Watts from an external supply that accepts 90 to 250V AC input and provides regulated 48V DC output. Built-in over-current protection, under-current detection and fault protection input monitor the powered device continuously. If fiber receive signal is lost, the PSE/LPT switch can cut UTP port power for two seconds to trigger a remote device reset, maintaining link stability over long runs.

The compact enclosure measures 1.00 by 3.25 by 4.80 inches and ships with the external power supply included. Setup requires only connecting fiber, copper and AC mains; no software configuration is needed for basic IEEE 802.3af operation.
